Northeast Organic
Farming Association of Vermont

The Northeast Organic Farming Association of Vermont is a non-profit association of farmers, gardeners and consumers working to promote an economically viable and ecologically sound Vermont food system for the benefit of current and future generations.

We are passionate about increasing the acreage of certified organic land in Vermont while also increasing the access of local organic food to all Vermonters. All our programs strive to meet these goals, whether it involves working with schools to bring local foods into the cafeteria or providing business planning services to farmers to ensure their businesses stay viable.

Vermont Organic Certication

Vermont Organic Farmers (VOF) is the certification branch of NOFA-VT, accredited by the USDA to verify that agricultural products are raised in accordance with the National Organic Program standards. VOF’s purpose is to provide a highly credible program for independent third-party verification of organic food production, and to assist Vermont farmers and processors of all types to achieve the highest possible organic standards.
